SBC - 015 released in july 2011 on simple box construction. this ep by a death cinematic packaged in an all hand made cd gatefold sleeve is limited to an edition of 50. just over a half hour worth of music including a full length version of a track from the der wanderer über dem nebelmeer compilation.

It is a shame that so many labels forego special packaging to save money. I mean, I understand why they must, but at the same time there is something unique and almost magical about getting a new album and noticing that the artist and label really "pulled out all the stops" (note: that's an organist's term - how about that?) to make the listener's experience transcend the mere sound escaping their speakers. When I get an album and it's in a jewel case or a digipack it's still great, I still get to hear the music, but when the artist puts together the packaging themselves and offers a little something extra, not only do I have the sounds the artist created, but also a personal piece of art, a labor of love.

It is so easy to get lost in Your Fate… The somniferous droning, which has become a staple of the project’s sound, just oozes long-dead Americana, painting vivid pictures of decaying ghost towns and tumbleweed drifting across Nowhere, USA. It is these intense visions that provide the impetus for A Death Cinematic. Being an ambient entity by definition, movements can only be discerned through the very gradual unfurling of each piece, though these minimal tweaks to the layers have the potential to catastrophically alter the initial soundscapes. As a result, the listener will easily lose themselves in multiple music-induced daydreams, only to be roused later by unfamiliar, searing noises far removed from the calm of the outset.
